Is there an adjustment that I can do to the Hi-Line Sat Nav Hi-Fi in my new Rover 75, to make the amount that the volume increases and decreases automatically when the car goes faster and slower?
My previous 75's stereo worked very well at raising the volume automatically when the car went faster and dipping it when it slowed back down, but my new one (which has exactly the same unit - the one with the TV screen) only adjusts the level a small amount causing me to have to reach for the volume knob every time.
There doesn't appear to be any reference to such an adjustment in the handbook except to say that the unit does compensate for extra engine, wind, and road noise at higher speeds by altering the output level automatically.
If it's not an adjustment I can do through some hidden menu on the stereo, is it something the dealer can tweak for me?
If anyone can shed some light on this I would be very grateful.

I have found an answer to my question from another forum.
The answer is that there is a hidden service menu on the Radio which can be accessed by:
1) Switching the radio ""on"", then within 8 seconds.....
2) Press and hold down the TP (Traffic) button for 8 seconds
3) A service menu will appear, use the radio tuning up & down buttons to scroll down to the ""GAL"" display
4) Use one of the radio preset buttons 1 to 6 to select the volume level you require for when the car is at high speed. GAL1 = quiet, GAL6 = loud.
5) when finished, switch off radio to store.
I found my radio was set to GAL3, and was not turning up the volume enough, so I changed it to GAL4, and now its perfect.
