My Rover 75 2,5 V6 1999 only clic´s when I try to start.

I love my 75 but......
After few months after bying, the motor will not start.
I read lot about it in the forums - many solutions.....

The simple solution is: just a new starter.

Now my 75 starts every time.

Obviously the new starter motor has cured it for you, but invariably it is either low battery voltage, which is sufficient to actuate the solenoid (clicking sound), but not enough to turn the motor, or a poor connection to live or earth. Before buying a new starter or battery, always charge the battery and test it first. If it is OK, check all the connections for tightness and cleanliness.

Modern cars use a lot of amps, even when parked, so batteries can quickly become discharged, also the starter motor will take around 500 amps initially (that is why the cables are so thick), so if a battery is giving out less than 12 volts, it may not be sufficient; you need 13+ volts.
