My 75 CDT Tourer has aut. AC.
When I set it to Auto so that the AC is on, then always the fan from the radiator is on. It is quite noisy not from inside but outside you can't miss it.
Is it normal that thisd fan is always ON when the AC is in automatic mode?

@kael:
Yes, it's correct that the fan is always running when the AC is in AUTO-position. I was very astonished about this too and so I asked my dealer last summer. He confirmed that ""the always running fan"" in AUTO-position ist just normal act |

The fan is supposed to run in three different modes or to say at three different speeds, depending on the pressure in the cooling system.
The higher the pressure (or the higher the demand for cool air) the faster it runs.
If it is really always turned on I can't confirm. But try to set the temp to 'hi' and then see if it still runs.
