Hi there, I have some new questions.
For my car, wich is a 75 2,0 Tourer I´ve got two key`s, both with remote locking.
In my instruction book for my car it says that You can memorise the settings of the drivers seat with the key in that way that when You unlock the car the seat goes to either adjustment 1 or 2 depending on what key You are using.
I don´t know if I got that wrong or not, but I can´t get it work the way I think it would be.
Anyone who knows something ?
Then about my radio. I got the Alpine system.
It also say´s that the volume changes with the speed of the car.
I wonder...
I read that with the nav.system there was a menu for changing theese parameters.
Is is a menu with the Alpine system too ?
In my Car I have mounted a Pioneer sub.bas wich includes a amplifier of 100W. It suits perfectly in the hidden space under the boot.
The sound is INCREDIBLE.
All the best

Hello Lasse!
You can set the auto-volume adjustment in the service menu.
Turn ON Ignition, switch OFF the radio.
Switch ON radio and wait until "ROVER" hello message has disappeared.
Press MAN button for at least 8 seconds.
The Service-Menu appears.
With the FWD and REV buttons you can browse through the pages.
"GAL" is the german abbreviation for speed dependent volume. You may set different characteristics by pressing the station buttons.

Hi Hutch and thank´s for the info.
I tried it Yesterday and I did find thge menu`s and I changed from GAL1 (wich was the org. setting) to GAL4.
But...
How is it supposed to work ?
Is the volume of the radio/CD/TAPE automaticly going up and down with the speed or what ?

This is what Oliver wrothe in the yahoo groups:
(just did a copy here because it might be of interest for others).
==========
On the Symphony unit it works this way:
1) Switching the radio "on", then within 8 seconds.....
2) Press and hold down the "MAN" button for 8 seconds
3) A service menu will appear, use the radio tuning up & down
buttons to scroll down to the "GAL" display
4) Use one of the radio preset buttons 1 to 4 to select the volume
level you require for when the car is at high speed.
V mph (km/h) 30(50) 50(80) 75(120) 92(150) 112(180)
GAL 1 +1db +2db +4db +6db +6db
GAL 2 +1db +3db +5db +7db +7db
GAL 3 - +1db +2db +4db +6db
GAL 4 - +1db +3db +5db +7db
So GAL 1 is actually the loudest.
5) when finished, switch off radio to store.
Oliver

Hoi Lasse,
I am happy to tell you that... I have the same problem with the chair memory and remote.
My car is from april 2003 (CDT with chip tuning). The instruction book tells me that with remote key 1 pressed for more than 2 or 3 seconds the chair should move in position 1. And so key 2 in memory position 2. But it doesn't.!!!
I have tried to program the keys, but nothing works. Then I got in contact with a large dealer, but they didn't know such an option exists. The got in contact with MG-ROVER Netherlands (thats where I live) and they didn't know either.
They contacted England and a fax was send with the solution.
Two weeks ago a went to the dealer and tho people got to work. After an hour.... it still didn't work. They phoned with another dealer, with MG-ROVER Netherlands. Nothing.
So now I am waiting for a call that they know how it works!!!
Nice to have an options that nobody knows and doesn't work!!!
CU
When
By the way I love the 75!!!
