Hi,
nothing from this was changed .
But at one from the repair shops they told me that all the censors are checked with new one. (MAP, Fuel pressure and MAF).
But now i have read that there is a small micro-filter somewhere before the HP pump or in it, which can easily be clogged from bad fuel. This can cause not steady idle and low rail pressure when the car is at heavy load(and from this the engine cuts out). I have both of the symptoms and when i have a little more time i will go to a Bosch diesel service to check this out.

PS. Did you manage to fix your car ? And if so , please share it with me.

PS2. Does anyone know how to find this micro-filter and how can it mbe cleaned or changed.

Sorry to hear you are still having problems.

I have read all your comments again, and I feel that perhaps some of the "experts" you have visited know a lot less about your car than you do!

If you have a fault code showing "rail pressure low" then there are not many things to check. The first, and most obvious is the injectors. You say that these have been changed. Do you know if they were OK? Did you get any sort of guarantee with the replacement ones.
My problem is leakback from 1 injector, preventing the HP rail from attaining sufficient pressure when things are hot, resulting in difficult hot starting, and causing cutting out under high throttle demand. I will let you know if changing this one clears the faults.

Second is the HP pump itself, but failure on these is very rare.

As far as I am aware there is no "microfilter" in or near the HP pump, but there has been a report of a problem with seals in the "Fuel pressure regulating valve" which is mounted on the HP pump. If the seals fail then the output from the HP pump is below 100bar, and you have symptoms very similar to yours.

As a starting point I would do a leakback test on the injectors just to make sure that you still don't have any problems in that area.

Keep us informed!

Mick

Today I removed the faulty injector, stripped it down, cleaned what I could, tried to increase the tension in the upper spring, and put the thing back in. Car ran great for half an hours thrashing about. Left it for ten minutes, started straight away. After another half an hour of thrashing it I suffered one cutout, so have decided to get all 4 injectors rebuilt by someone who knows what they are doing.

On the microfilter subject, I have read that there is one somewhere, but looking in Haynes and on Rave there is no mention.

Keep us updated

Mick
