Hi there
I´m thinking of chip my 75 CDT.
Has anyone of you tried to chip your diesel engine ?
Any experiences ?
There are many different brands to choose from.
Any tips ?
All the best

Hi Lasse
Chipping the 116 hp version is well worth it.
I've got the XPower 135 upgrade from MGR. It's a software remap to change a CDT into a CDTi, but I don't know whether it's still available through XPart. Maybe it's worth to ask them about it.
There are other suppliers, too. But I would not recommend to go for a result of more than 140 hp or so, keeping the durability of the engine in mind.

Hi Juergen
What happened to the milage?
What is your consumption at cruising speed ?
Before and after chipping.
I´ve been looking at small digital boxes from www.dieseltrim.net.
I think the boxes are german from the beginning.
They have 3 different boxes suitable for my car.
No. 1 is the most expensive one.
1. ASA DIGI CR Digi CR Tuningbox TÜV
2. ASA DIGI VP44/DENSO Tuningbox
3. ASA ECO CR Tuningbox 2
They say that power is raising with 25%
I save 10% of fuel
Any comments ?
Best regards

Hi Lasse
I use a TU3-Tuning from England.
It's a little box, where you can set up different parameters for power and MAF=Mass airflow meter
I have the old CDT with 116HP, with tuning box it's about 135 HP.
Especially the boost between 1000-2000 is much better. No turbo whole.
I use it now for 25000 km.

Hi Lasse
The fuel consumption has dropped by 4% (although I must admit that I do use the extra power (which means more fun) some times ). So if you would not change your driving style it may be more than that.
It's well worth it.
Ask Roverron (View Profile) who is also suggested by Benny ...
